🇩🇪 Consulting from Germany
Online dental consultation from Germany
Video, audio or WhatsApp consultation with a Braces & Faces specialist in Delhi — second opinions, treatment planning and follow-up, at hours that work from CET / CEST.
German statutory insurance covers the basic restoration well and the good one poorly. The Festzuschuss pays a fixed subsidy toward a standard solution, and the Eigenanteil on implants, high-end crowns and full-arch work is where the bill actually lands — routinely four or five figures. Germany also has a large and growing Indian professional community, particularly across Berlin, Munich and the Frankfurt corridor, and those are the patients who most often plan treatment around a trip home.
When German patients actually book
Best window: 09:00 – 16:00 German time
Germany is 4:30 behind IST in winter and 3:30 in summer, which gives the widest overlap of any of our overseas markets — most of the German working day sits inside our clinic hours. Consultations are held in English.
Why patients in Germany call us
- Your Heil- und Kostenplan puts a large Eigenanteil on you and you want it checked before you sign.
- Statutory insurance funds the standard option; you want the better one without the German private price.
- You fly to India annually and want the treatment to fit those weeks.
- You need follow-up on treatment already begun at our clinic.
We see patients from Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf, but where you are matters far less than what you send us beforehand.
The honest comparison
What the same treatment costs in Germany and in Delhi
German figures are indicative patient-share ranges after the statutory Festzuschuss and vary with your Bonusheft and insurance. Bring your Heil- und Kostenplan to the consultation — it is the document that actually answers the question.
| Treatment | Typical in Germany | Our written range, Delhi |
|---|---|---|
| Single dental implant | €1,800 – €3,200 Eigenanteil | ₹28,000 – ₹60,000 per implant |
| Crown / cap | €500 – €1,000 after Festzuschuss | ₹4,000 – ₹18,000 depending on material |
| Root canal (molar) | €300 – €900 privately | ₹4,500 – ₹11,000 including access and obturation |
| Clear aligners | €3,000 – €6,500 | ₹25,000 – ₹2,10,000 depending on complexity |
| Full-arch rehabilitation | €15,000 – €35,000 | ₹2,50,000 – ₹8,00,000 for full-arch rehabilitation |

Planning the trip
How to make the visit worth the flight
Bring the Heil- und Kostenplan
It sets out the proposed work and the split between subsidy and your share. It is the clearest starting document any overseas patient brings us, and we can read it directly against what the same plan costs here.
Use the wide time overlap
Germany has the easiest scheduling of our four overseas markets — most of your working day falls inside our clinic hours, so consultations and follow-ups do not need to be squeezed into an early morning.
Keep your Bonusheft intact
Treatment abroad does not have to disturb your German check-up record. Ask your Zahnarzt to record the routine visits as usual, and take our written summary and radiographs back with you.
When we will tell you not to travel
- Allow 48–72 hours between oral surgery and flying.
- Where the Festzuschuss largely covers the standard restoration and you are content with it, staying in Germany is the sensible answer.
- Fixed orthodontics needs review every few weeks and belongs at home.
A clinic that tells every overseas enquiry to fly out is selling flights, not dentistry. Read our full NRI consultation guide before you decide.
FAQs from Germany
What patients overseas ask first
Yes, and the timing is the easiest of any of our overseas markets — Germany is only three to four and a half hours behind IST, so most of your working day overlaps our clinic hours. Consultations are conducted in English.
For implants, high-end crowns and full-arch work, usually by a wide margin, because those are precisely the treatments where the statutory Festzuschuss covers least. For a standard restoration that your insurance largely funds, it is not worth a flight, and we will say so.
Please do. It lists the proposed treatment and your share of the cost, which lets us compare like with like rather than guessing at what was quoted. Photograph it and send it with your X-rays before the call.
Crowns and root canals typically fit inside a week. Implants require placement and, three to six months later, the crown — which for most German patients means splitting it across two visits home. The consultation exists to give you that number before you book anything.
Routine follow-up is normally straightforward once they have the records — radiographs, the implant passport and the materials used all go home with you. For anything specific to our work, we review by video.
