How treatment works

  1. 1

    Tell us what's needed

Walk in with your prescription, or just point to the tooth that hurts. If you were referred by another dentist, bring the slip - we image exactly what they asked for.

  2. 2

The right scan for the question

A single painful tooth needs an IOPA/RVG. Wisdom teeth, jaw pain or full treatment planning needs an OPG. Implants and impacted teeth need 3D CBCT. We use the smallest scan that answers the question.

  3. 3

    Digital capture in seconds

Digital sensors capture in under a second with far less radiation than film. A lead apron and thyroid collar are standard for every patient.

  4. 4

A dentist reads it with you

You get the images plus an actual explanation of what they show - decay, bone loss, infection or impaction - not just a file. Copies go to your referring dentist if you have one.

The Braces & Faces difference

  • In-house digital imaging - no being sent to a separate lab
  • Images released to you and any dentist you choose, no lock-in
  • Radiation kept to the clinical minimum (ALARA protocol)
  • Extra care for children and pregnant patients

Dental X-Ray FAQs

Frequently asked questions about dental x-ray

Everything patients typically want to know before starting treatment.

We do digital dental X-rays at our Mayur Vihar Phase 1 clinic, which serves Mayur Vihar Phase 1, 2 and 3, Trilokpuri, Patparganj, Mandawali, Pandav Nagar, Vasundhara Enclave and IP Extension. You can walk in - an X-ray does not need a prior appointment.

A single-tooth IOPA/RVG X-ray is typically ₹200–₹400, a full-jaw OPG panoramic ₹600–₹1,200 and a 3D CBCT scan ₹2,500–₹5,000 depending on the field of view. If we go on to do the treatment, the X-ray cost is usually adjusted into the treatment plan.

An RVG or IOPA is a digital close-up of one or two teeth - used for decay, root canals and abscesses. An OPG is a single panoramic image of the whole jaw, both arches and the sinuses - used for wisdom teeth, orthodontic planning and general assessment. A CBCT is a 3D scan used when depth matters, mainly implants, impacted teeth and jaw pathology.

A digital dental X-ray delivers a very small dose - a single IOPA is roughly comparable to a day or two of ordinary background radiation, and digital sensors cut the dose substantially compared with old film. We use a lead apron and thyroid collar every time and follow ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable), taking only the images that will change your treatment.

Yes. We take referral imaging from any clinic and send the images and report straight to your dentist, plus a copy to you on WhatsApp or email. There is no obligation to have your treatment with us.

Dental X-rays during pregnancy are considered safe when clinically necessary, with a lead apron and thyroid collar, because the dose is very small and the beam is nowhere near the abdomen. We still avoid routine imaging in the first trimester and only take X-rays that will change what we do - tell us you're pregnant and we'll plan accordingly.

No. X-rays are walk-in during clinic hours and usually take a few minutes. Call ahead only if you need a CBCT scan, so we can keep a slot free for you.
