They are two different things, and the terms get mixed up constantly. Clear braces (also called ceramic braces) are fixed to your teeth like metal braces but use tooth-coloured ceramic brackets, so they are discreet rather than invisible - and they are cheaper, typically ₹65,000–₹90,000. Clear aligners like Invisalign are removable transparent trays with nothing bonded to the teeth at all. Partly, and this is worth understanding before you commit. Direct-to-consumer 'virtual clinic' aligner brands mail you trays based on a home impression kit with no dentist ever examining your mouth - which misses gum disease, decay and bite problems that get worse under aligner pressure. We do the opposite: your scan, bonded attachments and progress checks happen in clinic, with WhatsApp reviews and online consultations between visits so you come in less often. Metal braces for the same correction are ₹45,000–₹65,000 and ceramic ₹65,000–₹90,000. You are paying the difference for removability and near-invisibility, not for a better clinical result - both get you there, and we will tell you honestly if braces are the smarter buy for your case.
